High Temperature Fuel Cell (HT-PEM)
The technology of HT-PEM fuel cells combines the advantages of a phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) with those of a polymer membrane PEM based fuel cell. HT PEM fuel cells can be operated in a wide temperature range and offer a high specific power with a high tolerance to CO. The HT-PEM is therefore a suitable candidate when hydrocarbons are reformed to hydrogen in order to use the synthesis gas in fuel cells. Clean Power Systems has developed HT-PEM fuel cells for many years and successfully operated them in complete systems.
